Kyle and Ryan both got their start here on Deja Vu’s stage. Now living in New York city, the two are making quite the names for themselves in the world of stand-up.
Kyle Ayers went to the University of Missouri with every intent of dropping out to pursue comedy, but decided to stay, citing a $2,000 class as a “very good place to write jokes.” Kyle has performed guest sets for many headlining comedians in Kansas City and Columbia, including Dan Cummins, Tommy Johnagin, “The Ragin Cajun” John Morgan, and others. His somewhat dry, (arguably) intelligent humor helped him to win the Deja Vu Last Comic Standing Competition in Spring 2008. He also appeared in the indie-sensation feature-film Box Elder, and continues to hone every aspect of his comedic career in the improvisational troupe Comedy Wars and performing stand up and sketch on a weekly basis at the As Yet Unnamed Comedy Show. If you’ve never heard of his credits, google them.
